I got a JOB!!

Yes I did! I interviewed for a check in position with the Scheurer Hospital Redi Clinic on the 23rd of December and I got a call about 1 hour after the interview. I work every Monday and every other weekend. Granted its not a ton of hours BUT it is a foot in the door and a great way to get to know people from the area and a great way to learn the system at the hospital and progress at it.
Today I went in for my pre-employment exam and next Monday starts the week of my training! By the following Monday I believe I am on my own for the clinic! :)
I am super excited to start work again, looking forward to increasing it to a daily thing but for now I can live with every Monday :) especially if we get some real snow!
This weekend Chris and I will be heading back to P-W; my friends husband will be turning 30 and we are going down to celebrate with them. Then its New Years Eve and as we dont have any pkans set in stone something will turn up and it will be a blast-I'm sure :) I mean as long as I'm with my husband all is good!!!!

I'm married!!

OK so the wedding came and then left! And it feels great to have it over with. The wedding was beautiful and the day went great!!! Good fun, Good friends, Good family and Good food! I have heard nothing but good things from people about the ceremony and reception. Thank you to ALL that helped and pitched in when needed. :)

Chris and I took off for our honeymoon that following Tuesday, we went to Aruba for 6 days it was gorgeous! It was the rainy season but that only means that it rained about 5-10 minutes a day. Amazing resort; we stayed at the Riu Palace and we would recommend that place to anyone! It was amazing! We definitly want to go back some day maybe for an anniversary :)

I got all moved in, I still have somethings at mom and dads like books and dvd's but my big stuff is up here and moved in. So little by little I grab things here and there when I head back to Portland.

Not working was helpful so I could get things moved in and organized around here. I did have a couple of interviews. One was for the Huron County Health Dept. Hopefully I hear something soon on that or I hear from some other places that I sent resumes to for more interviews.

Winter hasn't been bad at all up here. We have some strong winds but hardly any snow. This past weekend we got some snow but nothing to go snomobiling with yet. Maybe January will be bringing some snow :)

I have been keeping relatively busy though. I made 3 quilts for some people for Christmas. I'm looking into getting some paint to paint the basement so we can have a bar/sitting room down there for when people come over. I have a little work out area over there as well.

So I guess little by little things will get in order for me up here; for now I'm going to enjoy the sleeping in plan and lounging around :)

5 months to go

Chris and I have 5 months to go until our big day! It has gone by really fast!!!
We are meeting with Fr. Conlon this weekend on Saturday then heading into Lansing to register for gifts. Wish us luck on that one!
As far as getting things in order and getting things off of our list to do that is going well too. It seems like whats left is the payment for alot of things. Mom and I have to get moving on the invitations but I think once the first few are made the rest should be a breeze. I am going to make the invites for the rehearsal dinner too-nothing too fancy but I have to come up with a design.
Chris has a date set for his Bachelor party-which is the weekend of September 16th!!! Not sure yet when mine will be possibly October though. Chris and I did talk over the weekend and we are thinking about having a Stag and Drag party at our house in Pigeon and are throwing around the idea of September 10th; doing a little grilling; some bean bag toss possibly some skeet shoot and then heading around the thumb on a bus/bar tour-anyone interested????

It has been pretty cold around here as many of you are aware but the planting is done and the first cutting of hay is down and hopefully this week the sparying will be done now its just waiting for it to grow!!! And then Harvest!!!!
I have been doing some work around the house when I can when I am up there. I havent gotten any pictures but soon! I want some mulch but it seems that I have no time to get it!!! I did get my pond running and I do have a pump in it this year so its not just stagnet water!!! Very proud of my self-so if the Stag and Drag does go through maybe some of you can see it.

Well lets see... let me give you some updates here since it has been awhile:
May 5th: My friends Katie and Derek Arens had their little girl: Lee Elizabeth
May 6th: My friend Lindsey had her 27th birthday-yay Lindz!
May 6th: Chris's friends Skizz(Chris) and Amy got married in Saginaw- beautiful wedding! :)
June 11th: My cousin Barb had her open house-congrats Barb!!! On to MSU now-hope you liked your quilt :)
June 11th: Chris's friend Anthony(Truck) and LisaMarie got married in Grand Rapids-again another beautiful wedding and different-some of the ceremony was said in Polish! Pretty Awesome!

And that takes us up to today I have 4 1/2 months of work left!!! Holy Crap!!! Its just amazing that it has all gone by so quickly! Fun times up ahead thats for sure! :)

Aruba here we come!!!!

I am so excited! Chris and I booked our honeymoon! We are going to Aruba and will be staying at the Riu Palace-fancy huh! :)
We are going from November 15th (Tuesday) through November 21st (Monday) and we will be flying our of Grand Rapids-anohter bonus because its close!

I am so glad that we decided and booked the honeymoon, its one more thing off my list of wedding stuff!
Other wedding details that are complete:
Mom got her dress! Its beautiful! It is a strapless teal coler dress with a bolero jacket. Very nice and she feels/looks amazing in it!
We got our DJ done, booked a trolly for in between the ceremony and reception.
Chris and I met with our cake person Carolyn Weber and we ordered our cake. It will be a 4 tiered cake with fake flowers between the layers-super excited to have that out of the way too!
Chris and I only have 1 more Natural Famly Planning (NFP) class left and that is next month; we will be meeting with Fr Conlon in May then we have one more meeting with him.
We have our invitations ready to go. Mom and I made them last month when I had a snow day so now we just have to find the paper and get them printed adn put together! (Late days!)
Next on my list will be the ceremony. Got to pick out the readings and music, I have this lady in Lansing that I need to meet with; she plays the harp adn I think thats the route I want to take. After that is the receptoin-just thnking about that gives me a headache! Ahhh! oh well it will get done-eventually!
Then its just writing out checks!!!! Yay!

MSU vs Northwestern

Yesterday Chris and I took Damian and Cayden to the MSU game. I got the tickets for the 3 boys(Chris, Damian and Cayden) for Christmas. It was really fun!

We got out there early hoping to eat before hand but everywhere was busy so we headed to the Breslin and got some consession food. Since we had time to kill we walked around the Bres looking at trophies and pictures along the walls.

Caydens favorite is #10 Delvon Roe, Damians favorite is #1 Kalin Lucas. It was cute seeing the boys pick them out during the open shoot and also in the pictures along the wall.

We watched a good game, the first half blew-as many of you would know if you watched it, but the second half wasn't so bad. The boys were ready to go I think but then it was Over Time!

When we won the boys were really ready to go, and hungry I think. We walked back to the truck which was parked at the Harrison Roadhouse and got some late lunch.

All in all it was a great day and I think Damian and Cayden had fun. Chris and I did too! :)
